Your home renovation is finally finished and it’s looking like a million bucks. Time to show off your home in it full beauty. However, there is just one problem, the aftermath of a remodel leaves your home extremely dusty and messy. The house is just covered in footprints and everything in it layered with construction dust. The building is usually filled with dust. Dust isn’t just an eyesore, it is harmful to you and everyone in the building. Here’s how we can help.
At a minimum, they produce a lot of dust, which can get everywhere within a home or business. This dust settles in places where it may not always be obvious or part of everyday cleaning. All of these things are technically cleanable by the home or business owner, but it takes time.
The major thing you should note is to limit the dust you kick into the air. This is because the more dust you kick up, the longer your post-remodel cleaning will take. It can also result in a respiratory problem, especially for people with asthma.
Beginning at the top is a rule of thumb when it comes to house cleaning. We start by vacuuming up as much of the dust as we can. This will help to minimize the amount of loose materials in the dust that might be put into the air while cleaning.
Ensure we do not vacuum haphazardly. Have a specific direction, begin at the ceiling, then work down towards the floor. From there, move along sideways.
Pay attention to the ledges at the top of the windows and door frames. Vacuum the fixtures and ceiling fans a bit as well. Also, as we move towards the ground, we make sure to clean any electronics and lampshades.
Once we are all done with that, we can now begin cleaning with an all-purpose cleaner, making sure to use damp towels at this stage. This will allow us to clean and pick up any dust easily without risk of spreading.
The kind of cleaning we employ will depend on the type of flooring. The surface of the floor is more likely to trap dust if the floor is carpet, which is why we use specialized vacuums and a dust brushes.
For hard-surface floors, we begin with sweeping or vacuuming, then move on to use our microfiber dust mops to remove fine particles.
Used dryer sheets are very effective for cleaning nooks and crannies that may have gathered dust.
This is something that is usually overlooked by most cleaning companies, but our cleaners are extremely detailed oriented and trained to keep an eye out for any vents that may have accumulated any dust from your remodel.
